Razak Dawood & Mian Aslam Discuss Industrialization in Punjab
Saturday in Lahore, the Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mian Aslam Iqbal, and the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, co-chaired a meeting to discuss industrialization in the province.

At this meeting, held at the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), the issues of colonization of industrial estates, establishment of industrial estate and expo center in Sialkot, construction of interchange on motorway to link Quaid-e-Azam Business Park Sheikhupura, income tax refund of Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC), and gas and electricity supply to industrial zones were discussed.
Dr. Arfa Iqbal, chief executive officer of the PBIT, updated the committee on Punjab’s participation in Dubai Expo. In addition, the meeting decided to speed up the colonization process in industrial zones and take action against those who had not yet erected industrial units on their assigned plots.

Dawood stated at the meeting that the federal government would provide all necessary assistance to hasten the colonization of industrial estates.
In addition, the PM’s advisor praised the Punjab administration for taking the greatest possible steps to facilitate business.
