The unapproved housing societies located in the garrison city have received notifications from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
The four illegal housing societies are High Life City, a project of SSJ Marketing and Property Adviser at Mouza Niko, Wah Hills at Mouza Ghari Afghana in Taxila, and Amman Scheme at Mouza Rajar on Chakri Road, according to RDA spokesman Hafiz Irfan.
In addition, sponsors have received stern warnings not to publicize any unapproved housing projects in Rawalpindi. On the orders of RDA Director General Saif Anwar Jappa, notices were sent to the housing societies stated above.

The first information reports (FIRs) against the proprietors of the illegal housing schemes are to be filed, under the directive of the appropriate RDA department. They risk legal action if they continue to promote their unregistered housing societies and fail to contact RDA for a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The public was cautioned by the representative not to invest in housing associations that lack official status. Furthermore, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has been asked by the RDA’s Planning Wing to investigate deceptive advertising by unlicensed housing organizations.
Hafiz Irfan claims that the proprietors of the illegal housing projects are liable for their crimes under Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules 2021, Rule 37.
