Revised Plan for Marrir Chowk Remodeling Ready
Rawalpindi’s City Traffic Police and traffic engineers have devised a revised plan for the reconstruction of Marrir Chowk in order to end traffic congestion on Murree Road.

The revised plan prohibits traffic from Kamran Market from crossing Marrir Chowk in order to access Rashid Minhas Road. After turning near the Leh Bridge, cars will take a left turn onto Murree Road to go towards Katchery.
This would clear the route for traffic coming from Katchery Chowk and destined towards Liaquat Bagh. Similarly, Katchery Chowk-bound vehicles destined for Kamran Market must make a left turn into Saddar and then a U-turn in order to reach Kamran Market.

The renovation of Marrir Chowk and the construction of several of its sides have begun and will be completed as soon as possible.
A police spokeswoman stated that the department has deployed additional traffic officers at the construction site to accommodate vehicles and ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the construction.
