Govt Building Road Named Dr. Qadeer Khan in Islamabad
Islamabad: According to press reports, the federal government has instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to name an important road and government building after the creator of Pakistan’s nuclear program, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.
As a tribute to Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s contributions, the federal cabinet reportedly sent a letter to the interior ministry to designate a significant public facility in his honor. Separately, the administration has requested that a road be named after the nuclear physicist.

Dr. Khan, 85 years old, recently passed away in Islamabad and was given a formal funeral in the Faisal Mosque, followed by burial at the Sector H-8 cemetery. He was acclaimed as a national hero, and the federal cabinet wanted to pay modest homage to his service to Pakistan.
In this regard, CDA officials will compile their ideas, which the federal cabinet will then accept.
