Rs 111 Billion to Be Invested in Power Transmission System
The National Assembly in Islamabad has been notified that Rs 111 billion will be invested on the power transmission system over the next three years.
In this context, Energy Minister Hammad Azhar stated during question hour that transmission line projects would be implemented in various regions of the country.
The minister stated that capacity payments had surpassed Rs 800 billion due to the power contracts inked by the previous Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.
Azhar stated in response to a question that both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) had been instructed to develop a rehabilitation plan for the repair of damaged pipelines within a month. He stated that this plan would contribute in addressing the gas pressure issue.

She stated that the Ministry of Law and Justice would shortly introduce the Criminal Law Reforms Bill in an effort to strengthen the criminal justice system. The meeting will now take place on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
