RS 7 Billion Approved for Bridge Between Torghar and Peshawar
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved $7 billion in funding for the construction of a bridge that will cut the distance between Torghar and the provincial capital Peshawar in half.
The bridge would be built over the River Indus in the Kotkay area, MPA Laiq Mohammad Khan, the head of the district development advisory committee Torghar, announced to media in Oghi on Saturday.

He claimed that it would not only connect numerous union councils in Hassan Zai with the rest of the region, but it would also give many people access who are currently reliant on boats.
The huge communication project would soon begin, according to the DDAC chairman.
“This bridge will connect Torghar with Buner, and travel time from Judbah, the district headquarters, to Peshawar would practically be cut in half,” he claimed.
He claimed that Torghar, which was undeveloped before receiving district rank in 2011, would catch up to other districts in the Hazara division and the rest of the province thanks to these large-scale development initiatives.
