RS 947 Million Budget Approved by PHA Board
Rawalpindi: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) board has approved a 947 million rupee budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year.
The government has also decided to streamline its collecting of outdoor advertisements via geotagging.

The budget was approved during a meeting presided over by the Chief Minister’s Adviser on Horticulture and Tourism, Asif Mehmood. The budget was given by Zaheer Anwar Jappa, director general of the PHA.
245.9 million rupees will be earned from PHA’s own sources, 515.4 million rupees will be spent on salaries and administrative expenses, and 185.6 million rupees will be designated for development.
A top PHA official informed the concerned officials that the authority generates Rs 245,9 million through fees collected from billboard advertisements, leases of stores in various parks, and the selling of trees, among other sources.

In the meantime, the PHA board has requested that the administration begin developing the city into a green and model city. A target for tree planting along roadways and in parks has been established.
