Ruda Directed to Complete Land Acquisition
Lahore: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was pleased with the progress made on the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project and ordered that construction be accelerated.

At a meeting to examine the project, the prime minister stated that 44,000 acres of land had been selected and a 6,000-acre industrial zone would be formed in addition to the construction of three barrages with a water storage capacity of 600,000 cusec.
The chief minister stated that the project will be environmentally friendly since six million seedlings would be planted to reduce environmental contamination.
In addition, he ordered that the land acquisition work be completed expeditiously and in accordance with the laws and regulations. He stressed that the project will be a major draw for international investment and would also be featured during the Dubai Expo.

Buzdar assured him that public issues would be addressed on a top-priority basis and stated that the Rs 360 billion district development package would ensure comprehensive growth.
The chief minister stated that the Punjab government had delegated all authority to the south Punjab secretariat by passing rules of business, so that citizens no longer needed to travel to the provincial capital to resolve their issues.
