SC Directs to End Commercial Activities on CAA Lands
According to news sources, the Supreme Court (SC) ordered Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to cease all commercial activity on land allotted to CAA across the country.
According to the facts, Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed, while hearing a case involving the allocation of CAA properties to other parties at the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry, ruled that the CAA lands could only be utilized for airport purposes.
During the hearing, CAA acknowledged that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had discovered that two entries of land records were forged and that authorities were investigating the matter. Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin Ahmed requested that the individuals implicated in this matter be punished severely.
The case was postponed for hearing, and the FIA Director General (DG) was directed to present a report at the next hearing.
