SCCI, BoI Form Joint Working Group to Resolve Business Issues
Peshawar: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Board of Investment (BoI) Islamabad have decided to form a joint working group to resolve business issues and attract investment in KP, including newly merged districts, by creating a favourable business climate in accordance with the Prime Minister’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ initiative.

Bilour, speaking on the occasion, stated that KP is a desirable investment destination. Nonetheless, he deemed the government’s attempts regarding Ease of Doing Business to be inadequate.
He reported that the SCCI, in partnership with key government departments, including the KPBOIT, is making active efforts to attract investments and industrialisation, with a particular focus on resolving challenges facing the KP business community.
The head of the SCCI stressed the importance of the business community to the nation’s economic progress.
Therefore, he asked the government to take pragmatic measures to support the business community on all levels.

Similarly, the Web Based One Custom (WeBoC) system will be replaced with the Pakistan Single Window system in order to eliminate irritants and increase exports and imports, which is a significant step in the government’s effort to bring EoDB.
Similarly, the requirement of E and I forms for exports will be eliminated, hence enhancing export and export.
