SECP Reports Hike in Registrations of Construction Business
According to press reports, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) reported an increase in the registration of construction and real estate firms during the month of July.

July saw the registration of 313 construction-related firms, mostly due to government initiatives to stimulate the economy through the development of the construction sector. Islamabad and Lahore recorded the most company registrations in July, accounting for 66% of all newly registered businesses.
Islamabad has the most registered firms (645), followed by Lahore (634) and Karachi (294), respectively, according to the information provided by the authority. 1,949 companies have registered with SECP (mainly online), with Islamabad having the most registered firms.

There are 279 enterprises registered with authority in the trade sector, 243 in information technology, 178 in services, 117 in e-commerce, and 76 in the food and beverage industry.
In addition to the local firms, 47 multinational firms from various nations were also registered. SECP collected a total of PKR 2.7 billion in registration fees.
