Sheikh Rasheed Says Lal Haveli to Be Transformed in University
Government Postgraduate Girls College in Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, will be promoted to university status in the near future.

The disclosure was made by Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, who also stated that his castle, Lal Haveli, in the center of the garrison city, will serve as the new university’s location.
“Lal Haveli should be converted into a university campus during my lifetime; else, multiple ‘owners’ may emerge after my death,” remarked Ahmad at the college’s annual commencement and awards event.

Dr. Alia Sohail Khan, the principal, had requested an upgrade, and he announced it in answer to her request.
