Sindh Government Begins Registration of Electric Vehicles

The registration of electric vehicles (EVs) and motorbikes has commenced, according to Sindh Excise Minister Mukesh Kumar.

The decision was made with the growing demand for electric vehicles and motorcycles in mind, as customers were experiencing issues due to the registration process’s delay.

In order to fulfill the federal cabinet’s decision to provide incentives for electric vehicles, the government has exempted two- and three-wheelers, large commercial vehicles, and four-wheelers from paying registration fees and vehicle taxes with immediate effect.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior in this respect, and in accordance with the advice of Cabinet Division, the federal government has exempted 2-3 Wheelers, HCVs, and four-wheeled vehicles from paying registration fees and motor vehicle taxes.
