Six Multi-Story Parking Plazas to Be Built in Islamabad
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board approved six multi-story parking plazas with a total parking capacity of roughly 3,500 automobiles in the city’s major business districts.

The consultant briefed the CDA board members on the proposal during an informal meeting, and the board members authorized the plan to build six parking plazas—three in Blue Area, one in F-8, and two in F-10 Markaz.
According to CDA officials, the municipal organization is preparing to build plazas in June and July of this year after the design phase has been completed.

The rooftops of the plazas, according to CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed, will be utilized for gardening and promoting eco-friendly behaviors. He also noted that parking plazas in Blue Area will be six to eight storeys tall, while those in F-8 and F-10 will have basements and two storeys.
The project will cost Rs 35.8 million and take eight months to complete, per CDA papers. But, according to CDA authorities, the chairman asked the impacted wing to finish the construction within three months.
In addition to building new parking lots, he suggested that CDA make sure that every commercial building uses its basement for parking.
