At Gamescom 2024, sources informed us that game developers had already seen the Sony PS5 Pro’s specs. There’s a lot of positiveness about its performance, with expectations that it will run Unreal Engine 5 significantly faster than the standard PS5.

Additionally, an Italian gaming news outlet, Multiplayer, mentioned that a developer postponed their game’s release due to the upcoming Gaming Console Release.

Industry gossips suggest that the PS5 Pro will offer a 45% boost in rendering capabilities thanks to a more powerful GPU and faster memory. Another thrilling feature is the improved ray tracing technology, which improves lighting effects in games.

The most intriguing speculation involves a custom machine-learning architecture rumored to handle 300 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) of 8-bit calculations. This feature is expected to support Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology, which seeks to improve image quality while maintaining smooth performance.

Although there’s no official launch date yet, rumors hint at an announcement in September, with the console possibly hitting stores in November. The Sony PS5 Pro is expected to be priced between $600 and $700.
