Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has taken many measures to improve educational institution performance in the capital.

This includes an audit of the preceding four years, the delivery of Rs 120 million in cheques to the families of deceased employees, the establishment of a blended e-learning programme, and the implementation of the Learn Smart Classroom initiative in 80 schools.
The pay, evening shifts, and transportation expenses of the staff are also being probed. In addition, alleged expenditure fraud at model colleges is being investigated.
In addition to resolving a record number of promotion cases involving teaching and non-teaching employees during the past six months, the FDE is also taking measures to settle the issues of teaching and non-teaching personnel and public educational institutions on a priority basis, according to Dr. Ikram.

As part of this project, over the course of three years, the organisation will equip 80 classrooms with the necessary infrastructure for blended learning, including an offline learning management system that functions without internet in classrooms and a cloud-based learning management system that is synchronised with the offline platform, etc., he added.
