Swat Get 4G Service for an Estimated Cost of Rs 781 Million
The federal government has decided to launch high-speed broadband services in unserved and underserved areas of the Swat district in order to aid local residents and boost tourism.

In the next twelve months, 4G services will be launched in the Swat district at an estimated cost of Rs. 781 million, according to Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed.
More than 65,000 local residents will have access to 4G services in 50 muazas spanning 1,501 square kilometres in the province of Swat.
He added that the federal government is committed to revitalising underdeveloped regions of the country so that the youth of these regions can realise their full potential.

In addition, the federal government has decided to construct a 22,000-square-foot Software Technology Park (STP) in Mingora, Swat.
He noted that between July 2020 and April 2021, IT exports increased by 45.8% and reached $1.7 billion, adding that Pakistan’s annual IT exports will surpass $5 billion by 2023.
