The First Test Flight of Gwadar International Airport is in March
ISLAMABAD, February 02, 2023- Islamabad: New Gwadar International Airport, which is meant to accommodate huge cargo aircraft from around the world, will conduct a test flight in March.
According to the reports, the test flight will take off from the state-of-the-art runway on the green field of Gwadar International Airport, which was designed to accommodate large cargo planes. By June of this year, the development on the airport should be complete. The evolution of modern air traffic controllers was emphasized.
According to the news source, the airport in question is being constructed in accordance with the open sky policy in collaboration with China, Oman, and the Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA). The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor contains the Gwadar International Airport (CPEC). After completion, the new airport will accelerate the growth of Gwadar and enhance trade between China and Pakistan. Further, it was mentioned that the new Gwadar International Airport would simplify the region’s geopolitical stance along new lines.

In addition, the old Gwadar Airport on the Arabian Sea is being constructed in close proximity to the new airport. According to the information provided, a single runway measuring three and a half kilometers is being developed at the new Gwadar International Airport. In September this year, international flights will begin operating there, making it Pakistan’s largest and most modern airport.
