Trump Mobile says it has started delivering its delayed $499 T1 smartphones to customers.
The company had originally planned to launch the phone in August last year, but the release was pushed back several times, first to October and then to this week.
Trump Mobile was launched by the Trump Organization in June last year under a trademark licensing deal. The company said the extra time was used to finish development and testing to make sure the phone meets quality standards.
According to reports, Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien said the delay helped improve the phone’s components and overall performance.

The T1 smartphone has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an unspecified Snapdragon chip and runs on an unnamed Android version. It includes a triple rear camera setup (50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto) and a 50MP front camera. The phone also has a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging, plus features like a fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.
Trump Mobile works as a mobile virtual network operator, meaning it uses other carriers’ networks instead of its own infrastructure.
The company also offers a mobile plan priced at $47.45 per month, a reference to Donald Trump being the 45th and 47th president of the United States.
