US President Donald Trump said on Thursday in a post on Truth Social that planned American strikes on Iran were canceled following what he described as high-level diplomatic engagement involving multiple regional and international actors.
Trump stated that discussions had reached the “highest level” of Iran’s leadership and were reportedly approved “in principle and detail” by all parties involved.
According to his post, the decision was made to cancel scheduled strikes and bombings planned for the evening.
Countries reportedly involved
Trump claimed the proposed understanding included participation from several countries, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.
He also said that a naval blockade would remain in place until a formal agreement is finalized, with details regarding signing expected to be announced later.
No official confirmation
The statements have not been independently verified, and no confirmation has been issued by the White House or any of the governments mentioned in the post.
