Two Inquiries Started Into Rawalpindi Ring Road Project Scam
Two investigations into the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project have been started, with the Punjab Audit Directorate sending a three-person team to review the records to look for anomalies and the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) requesting information on land purchase within two days.

On the general’s orders, a three-person delegation from the Punjab Audit Directorate came in Rawalpindi on May 24 (Monday).
The team obtained every document from the Commissioner’s Office, the Rawalpindi Development Authority, and the land revenue agencies in Attock (RDA).
The matter may be treated as “top priority,” and the necessary information must be provided to this office within a day or two by an officer not below the rank of BS-17 and well-versed in the facts of the case, according to a letter to the RDA from the director general of the Anti-Corruption Establishment that was made available to the concerned officials.

According to the report, a combined team of the Anti-Corruption Establishment was looking into claims of theft, corruption, and abuse of power in the RRR project.
The investigation will also decide on the matter of land acquisition for the Ring Road and the function of Land Acquisition Collector Waseem Ali Tabish.
