Two Schemes Announced for RDA-Holding Overseas Pakistanis
Islamabad: According to a news source, Prime Minister Imran Khan unveiled two new programmes for Overseas Pakistanis who have Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA). Roshan Apni Vehicle and Roshan Samaji Khidmat are the aforementioned initiatives.

Addressing the event, PM Khan claimed that the only option to keep the economy of the nation growing in the absence of obtaining the needed export volume was through remittances provided by Pakistanis living abroad.
He termed the over 9 million expats distributed around the globe a ‘great asset’ of the country. He gave the Pakistani high commissions and embassies instructions to address Pakistani expats’ problems first.

The Roshan Apni Car programme would enable Pakistanis living abroad to digitally buy cars for their friends and relatives in Pakistan at lower markup prices and with quicker delivery periods.
The Roshan Samaji Khidmat programme will offer expats a straightforward method to donate to Ehsaas and other charitable organizations in Pakistan.
Reza Baqir, president of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), announced during the occasion that more than 120,000 Pakistanis living abroad in 170 different nations have opened RDA accounts.

According to recent SBP data, the bank received more than $1 billion via RDA over the previous seven months (between September 2020 and March 2020).
