UAE Records Overwhelming 65% Increase in Umrah Demand
Travel agencies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are reporting a sharp increase in demand for Umrah as the holy month of Ramadan draws near. Several buses carrying pilgrims are leaving for Makkah from the United Arab Emirates.

Bait al Ateeq Haj services representative Shebin Rasheed said that bookings for Umrah have increased significantly. 50 pilgrims are said to go for Umrah by plane each week, according to other travel agencies, and many more do so by bus.
A pilgrimage travel coordinator named Jaffer Pulappatta claimed that every Wednesday, approximately 100 buses depart from various locations around the nation, each carrying 50 pilgrims. His estimate is that more than 5,000 people take buses each week.

Jaffer added that his organization alone helps 50 Umrah pilgrims each week. It is anticipated that the number will continue to rise given the sharp increase in demand.
