Underground Rain Harvesting Tanks Constructed in PHA RWP
To conserve groundwater, the Rawalpindi Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) is set to install five underground rain harvesting tanks throughout the city.

This project will be created in the five parks of Rawalpindi as part of the Annual Development Program (ADP). The five sites for the project, according to the sources, are Allama Iqbal Park, Rawal Park, Pothohar Park, Liaquat Bagh, and Commercial Market Children’s Park. The PHA has already developed Project Concept-1 (PC-1).

The renovation will commence in March and is anticipated to take three months to complete. According to the source, the project’s objective is to collect rainwater for future plantation and horticulture activities in the city. Lahore’s first underground water storage tanks were constructed to improve rainwater management and provide water for plantations and parks.
