A missile-like object was discovered during excavation work at a residential plot in Islamabad’s I-9 sector, prompting authorities to launch an immediate security response.
According to reports, workers uncovered the object while digging at Plot No. 381 within the jurisdiction of the I-9 Police Station.
Security Teams Respond
Following the discovery, authorities dispatched teams from the Bomb Disposal Squad and Rescue 1122, who secured the area and carried out safety procedures to assess the object.
After a detailed examination, officials declared the site safe and confirmed there was no threat to the public.
Investigation Underway
Officials said the object was found to be inoperative and was later handed over to security agencies for further examination.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the object’s origin, identify its type, and establish whether it was ever operational or had been discarded before being found at the construction site.
