Utility Stores Present Ramzan Relief Package
Islamabad: Utility Stores Companies (USC) launched its Ramzan Relief Package at all of its outlets across the nation, offering discounts of up to 10 to 15 percent on more than 19 essential items.

A person with knowledge of the situation said that the subsidy has been increased for regular people in comparison to past years, and that the government has instructed store managers to make sure that necessary daily necessities are available throughout Ramadan in all locations.
The packaging would be applicable to beverages, sugar, tetra pack milk, wheat flour, legumes, gramme flour, dried dates, rice, oil, ghee, and besan.
The subsidy under the proposed package is roughly Rs7.8 billion and covers items like wheat flour, sugar, and ghee that have large pricing differences from those in the domestic markets.

All staple foods are now offered at utility store outlets for fixed pricing that are 10 to 15% less expensive than those found on the open market.
In addition, a widespread crackdown will be conducted on hoarders and profiteers to prevent false price increases and price controls during the holy month.
Inspection teams were also established to keep an eye on the supply on a daily basis in order to guarantee a seamless delivery of these commodities.
