WCLA Announces Preservation of Religious Places
The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has been tasked with maintaining and preserving sacred sites, according to our sources in Lahore. It would be carried out in various regions of Punjab.

WCLA receives projects through the Auqaf Department and the Human Rights and Minority Affairs Department. Details indicate that eight shrines, six churches, and one temple will be conserved throughout Punjab.
These are the names of the shrines:
- Hazrat Shah Shams in Multan
- Hazarat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed in Kot Mithan
- Darbar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar in Pakpattan
- Tombs of Shah Rukn-e-Alam and Bahauddin Zakariya
- Hazrat Mian Meer, Madhu Lal Hussain, Shah Husain and Bibi Pak Daman in Lahore

Furthermore, the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church, the Presbyterian Church on Nicolson Road, and the Cathedral Church of The Resurrection in Lahore will be conserved. St Francis Assisi Sahowala in Sialkot, St Mary the Virgin Cathedral Church in Multan, and Christ Church in Rawalpindi are more churches. In addition, the Shivala Mandir in Sialkot will be preserved.
The WCLA will finish the projects by June of the following year. The funds would be given by the government of Punjab.
