BoI Decides to Launch Online Platforms to Assist Investors
Monday, the Board of Investment (BoI) of Pakistan unveiled three online platforms for local and foreign investors to facilitate online registration for zone firms and to give a complete database of present and prospective investors to boost commercial activity.

The three platforms – Pakistan Regulatory Modernization Initiative Strategy (PRMI), Special Economic Zone Management System (SEZMIS), and Investor Relationship Management System (IRMS) – were launched by World Bank Country Director Najy Benhassine, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner, and IFC Senior Private Sector Specialist Charles Schneider, respectively.
IFC’s Senior Country Manager for Pakistan, Nadeem A. Siddiqui, stated, “We have been collaborating with the Board of Investment to establish and implement investment strategies, as well as to modernise systems via redesigned websites and digital portals.”

BoI Secretary Fareena Mazha notes that the purpose of these three platforms was to move slowly toward a paperless environment, hence reducing the consistency issues faced by enterprises and organisations.
