CDA Asked to Deliver List of Illegal Societies
Islamabad: According to a news source, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was instructed to provide a list of all unlicensed and unlawful housing societies located within its authority within a month.

The issue was raised during a meeting of Sub-Committee-VII of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), which was chaired by Riaz Fatyana, a member of the National Assembly. Mr. Riaz highlighted that the number of unlawful societies had recently increased.
According to Senator Talha Mehmood, the government has forbidden the delivery of water, gas, and electricity to the societies. He also pledged that the CDA’s top management is resolved to take action and examine and legalize any existing societies that it has decided to be illegal.

The committee agreed that in order to give comfort to the populace, it is crucial to identify and correct the errors made by private developers.
Mr. Amir emphasized the significance of good procedural assistance in order to assist potential real estate entrepreneurs.
The panel also emphasized the need to resolve the ownership dispute between CDA and the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad about a number of properties (MCI).
