CDA Chairman Insures to Provide Good Environment to Disabled
Islamabad: According to our sources, on Wednesday, 15th December 2021, Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed on Capital Development Authority (CDA) ordered the officials to make all the sectors of Islamabad friendlier for the differently abled people. The directions were directly ordered from President Arif Alvi.

There will be different phases; in the first phase, the CDA will create a friendly environment for the people who are specially-abled (PWD) in F-6 Markaz. Moreover, the civic authority will provide the same for Aabpara Market and I8 Markaz in the second phase. The committee will also be formed for examining and identifying the needs of all PWD. The architectural facilities will be provided on the basis of their needs.

The CDA board members took the decisions in a meeting. The members that were included were officials from the Presidency representatives from NUST University, faculty from the Architecture Department at Comsat University, and the National Council of Arts
Moreover, the government has also agreed on making data collections on disabled people mandatory. The census in 2022 will be called Inclusive Census 2022. Also, the information gathered will be used in the development of national strategy.
