CDA Chairman Vows to Conclude All Ongoing Projects by July
ISLAMABAD: All current development projects in Islamabad will be finished by June and July of this year, according to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Captain (R) Noor Ul Amin Mengal.

The Bara Kahu Bypass, Margalla Avenue, and IJ Principal Road are some of the projects that are expected to be finished, with an emphasis on the qualitative development of C sectors.
Mengal stressed the value of protecting green spaces in the nation’s capital, particularly the national park and open parks, during a press conference.
The CDA has established a Green Fund to assist in this effort, wherein a percentage of the budget for each development project would be set aside for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The CDA is also moving 300 private schools by providing sites at discounted prices after identifying them. For a 10-year lease, these plots will be allocated at a 55% discount from the DC rate.

The CDA is taking away authority from building control inspectors in order to combat corruption and ensure adherence to building plans, and instead assigning teams from the building control wing, each led by an assistant director, to check commercial and residential structures for plan approvals and unauthorized construction activities.
Mengal also stated that the CDA would receive the amenities plots for cemeteries, schools, parks, playgrounds, and more in order to stop layout plan violations.

300 private schools have already been chosen to relocate, and lands will be provided on a 33-year lease.
