The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved an Eid-ul-Adha allowance equal to one month’s basic pay for its Muslim employees working in BPS-1 to BPS-16.
The decision was formally issued through a notification from the Finance Wing (General) on May 22, 2026, after approval by the CDA Chairman.
Allowance Based on Running Basic Pay
According to the notification, the Eid allowance will be calculated on the running basic pay as of April 30, 2026.
The benefit will apply not only to regular employees but also to:
- Contract staff
- Daily-wage workers
- Muster roll employees
Eligible workers must have been in service during the relevant period and working against approved posts for the full month.
Payment Deadline Set Before Eid-ul-Adha
The authority has directed all concerned departments to ensure timely payment of the allowance before May 25, 2026, ahead of Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The instruction has been issued to the CDA Treasury Division, Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), and Accounts Officers to ensure smooth and timely disbursement to all eligible employees.
Budget and Financial Arrangements
The notification further states that the expenditure will be covered through the existing budget allocation for the fiscal year 2025–26.
Any additional financial adjustments or funding-related matters will be handled by the Finance Wing in coordination with relevant departments of the authority.
The CDA has emphasized that all payments must be completed within the prescribed deadline to ensure employees receive their Eid benefit on time.
