CDA Plans to Increase Koral to G.T. Road Expressway
Islamabad: In the 2019 fiscal year, the Capital Development Authority would enlarge the congested motorway connecting Koral to Grand Trunk (G.T.) Road.
The CDA has allocated Rs 2 billion for this project in its budget for the years 2021–2022, and it has asked the federal government for the cash.

Speaking to the appropriate officials, he announced that the civic organisation will begin the aforementioned project during the following fiscal year. The PWD underpass and the enlargement of the Korang Bridge are also ongoing projects that will be finished in June and December, respectively. In the interim, CDA will begin expanding the road.
According to CDA authorities, after the aforementioned two projects are finished, traffic congestion on the highway will be somewhat alleviated; nevertheless, without expanding the entire road from Koral to G.T. Road, the issue won’t be permanently remedied.
The road that begins at the Faisal Mosque has already been widened until it reaches Koral; nevertheless, once it reaches this point, it becomes two lanes, which poses a challenge for drivers.

According to sources, the CDA administration decided to request Rs 500 million from the federal government to begin the road development.
