CDA Pounder for Land Acquiring in Margalla Hill’s Old Villages
Wednesday in Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) revealed its plan to acquire land in the historic settlements of Margalla Hills Zone-III.

While presiding over a meeting, Mr. Amir Ali Ahmed, the chairman of the CDA, discussed the plan to acquire land in villages located in the Margalla Hills National Park region, including Talhar and Gokina. Regarding, a decision will be made in the coming days.
A CDA representative stated that the organization will not pursue coercive land acquisition. The agency will pursue a soft acquisition strategy. Under this sort of purchase, individuals will not be permitted to sell land to private buyers.

It is important to note that Islamabad is divided into five zones and that Margalla Hills National Park is located within Zone III. The size of Zone-III is 50,398 acres, of which 19,992 acres are acquired land and 18,398 acres are private and acquired land. The remaining 12,008 acres consisted of forest and state property. Additionally, the CDA official claimed that the organization will exclusively acquire land in historic settlements.
