ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated the process of re-planning unassigned, unused and undesignated land in Islamabad’s Sectors F-8/2 and F-10/3 through new public notices issued on September 21, 2026.
The notices invite residents, stakeholders and other members of the public to submit their comments or objections before the authority proceeds with any changes to the planning status or future use of the identified land.
Replanning Process Begins With Public Consultation
The latest notices represent the consultation stage of the planning process. They do not announce the auction, allotment or sale of new plots in either sector.
Unassigned and undesignated parcels can exist within established sectors where particular pieces of land have not previously been allocated for private plots or formally designated for a specific public purpose. CDA may review such land to determine an appropriate future use through its planning procedures.
Any decision regarding the eventual use of the land in F-8/2 or F-10/3 will therefore depend on the outcome of the relevant planning and consultation process.

Potential Implications for Established Sectors
F-8 and F-10 are established areas of Islamabad with significant residential and commercial activity. Changes to the use of previously unassigned land could have implications for surrounding infrastructure, traffic movement, access and nearby public facilities, depending on the final planning decision.
The public consultation process provides an opportunity for people who may be affected by any proposed changes to raise their concerns before the authority finalizes its plans.
CDA has undertaken similar planning exercises for unassigned and undesignated land in other developed sectors. Earlier in 2026, the authority issued a public notice concerning the planning of mosque plots on unassigned and undesignated land in F-11/1 and G-8/2.

No New Plot Booking Announced
The current notices should not be interpreted as an announcement of new residential or commercial plots for sale. No plot booking or auction opportunity has been established through these notices.
Residents and property stakeholders interested in the process should review the official CDA notices and submit comments or objections within the specified period.
Prospective buyers should also verify any claims about newly available F-8 or F-10 plots directly through CDA’s official channels before making payments or entering into a property transaction.
