ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has removed a fresh encroachment from National Park land in Bhara Kahu. The action was carried out in the Forest-8 area.
According to the CDA, a boundary wall was being constructed on state-owned land. The authority’s Environment Wing intervened and removed the unauthorized structure.
The latest action involved land located within the National Park area. The CDA has continued to monitor such areas to prevent unauthorized occupation and construction.
The authority has also taken departmental action in connection with the incident. Two CDA officials have been suspended over alleged involvement or negligence. Further action will depend on the outcome of the relevant proceedings.
The incident is not the first encroachment attempt reported in the Bhara Kahu area. The CDA has dealt with similar cases involving National Park land in the past.
