ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to invite bids for several commercial sites at Lake View Park, opening the door for private businesses to operate selected facilities within one of Islamabad’s major recreational destinations.
The initiative is part of CDA’s broader plan to improve visitor facilities while generating additional revenue that can be used for the maintenance, rehabilitation and development of public parks.

Commercial Sites to Be Offered
The proposed bidding will cover selected commercial locations inside Lake View Park that can be leased to private operators. Businesses and investors interested in food, hospitality, recreation and other visitor-focused services are expected to have an opportunity to participate once the authority publishes the official tender notice.
CDA officials have indicated that the bidding process will follow applicable legal procedures and be conducted through an open system to promote transparency and fair competition.
Private Sector to Support Park Development
The authority believes private-sector participation could improve the quality and management of commercial facilities available to visitors.
Better-operated food outlets, recreational services and other amenities could enhance the overall experience for families, tourists and other park visitors. Revenue generated through the leases could simultaneously provide CDA with additional resources for improving public recreational spaces.

Relevant departments have also been directed to develop an outsourcing framework covering legal, financial and operational requirements before the bidding process begins.
For businesses operating in hospitality, food services and recreational activities, the proposed commercial sites could create new opportunities within Islamabad’s tourism and leisure sector.
Interested parties should wait for CDA’s official tender announcement and carefully review the eligibility criteria, bidding conditions, lease terms and other requirements before participating.
