CDA Warned Societies Against Postponing Submission of Building
ISLAMABAD, September 10, 2022- Capital Development Authority(CDA) has issued a warning to the housing societies against postponing the submission of building plans.

According to a news source, the CDA has warned private housing societies about their excessive delays in submitting their building plans to the Building Control Section. According to Islamabad’s building ordinances, each housing society’s office must get the building plan from each tenant.
The plans must next be reviewed and sent to the Building Control Section for approval by the housing society offices. The civic body has only previously enforced its building restrictions in specific sectors of the city, but it is now doing so throughout. The creation of two new directorates has given them the authority to control construction activity in the territory that falls under their purview.

Despite receiving approval from their housing societies, a number of commercial and residential structures in the city have not yet been regularized by CDA. According to sources, the buildings have made several requests, but the housing societies’ management has illegally kept a number of building maps in their offices. They have also been delaying sending the plans to CDA.
