CDWP Favors Development Projects Worth Billions of Rupees
Islamabad: At the Central Development Working Group (CDWP) meeting of the Planning Commission, development projects worth billions of rupees were approved according to the sources.

The project focuses on the planning and development of a housing project called “Zirat City Development”. The main part of the project will be to widen and improve existing roads and provide the missing tourism infrastructure. The development will also include the socio-economic improvement of the town of Ziarat at a cost of PKR 1200 million.
The CDWP meeting also approved three science and technology projects worth PKR 7.4 billion. The project has been submitted to ECNEC for further approval related to the energy sector, where a 30 MW hydroelectric plant will be built in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Planning, senior officials of the Planning Commission and federal departments/departments. Other members present at the meeting were provincial government officials who participated via videoconference link.
