South Asia’s e-commerce market leader, Daraz, is celebrating the third anniversary of its digitalized logistics arm, Daraz Express, this month in Islamabad (DEX).

As the first digitalized logistics firm built for e-commerce operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Nepal, DEX has delivered close to 65 million goods since its start in 2018. Today, it supports over two-thirds of Daraz’s e-commerce platform deliveries and employs close to 6,500 delivery drivers, also known as “DEX Heroes.”
Bjarke Michelson, founder and chief executive officer of Daraz, stated that DEX was developed to provide a more smooth and integrated service for both vendors and customers and to facilitate commerce within the region.

According to DEX’s Regional Head, Zeeshan Ali Khan, the business arm has improved its delivery speed and service quality by implementing new technology and expanding its infrastructure and fleet.
