ECNEC Approves GB’s Attabad Power Project Worth PKR 21.27
According to news reports, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved the PKR 21.27 billion Attabad Power Project, which will generate 54MW.

A spokesman for Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister (CM) Imtiaz Ali Taj disclosed that work on the Attabad Power Project will begin in the current fiscal year and is anticipated to be finished within four years. In addition to the Hunza Valley, this project will assist alleviate the power shortfall over the entire Gilgit region.
In addition, according to the spokesperson, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan focused on the energy sector as part of the Gilgit-Baltistan Comprehensive Development Plan to address the issue of load-shedding.

It was also claimed that the government intends to develop 200MW power plants in Gilgit-Baltistan as part of the PPP.
The spokesperson Imtiaz Ali informed to the media that the PC-II of Shatung Nalla diversion in Skardu was also approved.
