Experts Claim They Have Chance to Make Fortune Global 500
Given the $20 billion revenue gap between the smallest Fortune 500 company and Pakistan’s largest company, Pakistan may be light-years away from joining the exclusive Fortune Global 500 club. According to experts, this will not be the case for much longer.

The Fortune Global 500 is an exhaustive ranking of the world’s 500 largest companies by revenue.
Unsurprisingly, the United States (121 firms) has the most companies in this ranking, followed closely by China (120 firms) (119). Fortune’s most recent Global 500 rankings includes seven Indian corporations in terms of our neighbors.
Unfortunately, Pakistan has not yet joined this exclusive group. Dr. Nadeem Haq, Vice-Chancellor of the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, reportedly stated that Pakistani enterprises must flourish internationally in order to be included in the Fortune Global 500 index.

Rehan Sheikh, executive director of SNGPL, stated that after the Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) and Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline projects are completed, the business will be eligible for the ranking.
