ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has invited bids to establish and operate new recreational and commercial facilities in Islamabad’s G-13 and G-14 sectors, with the revised procurement notice setting October 22, 2026, as the submission deadline.
The proposed plan includes multipurpose playgrounds in G-13/1, G-13/3 and G-14/4, along with a flora market in G-13 and a Sunday bazaar between G-12 and G-13. The initiative is aimed at expanding community amenities and commercial activity in these developing residential areas.
The revised notice replaces an earlier procurement announcement, although the authority has not specified what changes were made. Interested operators are expected to submit their bids before the announced closing date.

The project is currently at the procurement stage, meaning contracts have not yet been awarded and construction or operations have not started. FGEHA has also not released details about plot sizes, lease terms or operating conditions for the proposed facilities.
If implemented, the new playgrounds could provide additional recreational space for residents, while the flora market and Sunday bazaar may improve access to local shopping and small business opportunities in the surrounding sectors.
Residents should treat the announcement as the start of the bidding process rather than confirmation that the facilities are ready for use. The next key updates will be the contract awards and the timeline for developing the proposed sites.
