ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Housing and Works has set December 31, 2026, as the deadline for handing over plots in Blocks A, B and D of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority’s (FGEHA) Sky Garden Housing Project.

The deadline was announced following a visit by Housing and Works Secretary Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Mahmood, who directed officials to accelerate the remaining development work and resolve outstanding issues. FGEHA Director General Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal and the project’s joint venture partner, Chaudhry Ismail, also accompanied him.

According to an FGEHA spokesperson, development work under Package-I in the three blocks has reached its final stages, with finishing activities underway. The project comprises 4,255 plots, of which 2,470 have been allotted.

Officials are also working to address pending technical and administrative matters before possession is handed over to allottees. The housing secretary stressed that essential facilities, particularly effective drainage and sewerage systems, must be available to provide residents with a properly serviced living environment.

FGEHA has assured the ministry of financial, technical and administrative support to complete the remaining work. The secretary is also expected to revisit the project to assess progress and review the implementation of his instructions.

The December 31 deadline offers a target for plot handover in the three blocks, but actual possession will depend on completing the outstanding development work and ensuring the required facilities are in place. Allottees will be looking for further updates as the deadline approaches.
