The federal government has announced another significant increase in fuel prices, raising the cost of both petrol and diesel for the next seven days.
According to the latest notification approved by the Prime Minister, diesel prices have been increased by Rs. 15 per litre, while petrol has gone up by Rs. 14.92 per litre.
Following the revision, the new price of diesel stands at Rs. 414.58 per litre, while petrol will now cost Rs. 414.78 per litre.
The revised fuel prices came into effect immediately from Saturday, May 9, 2026.
This marks yet another hike in petroleum prices within a short period. Just last week, the government increased diesel prices by Rs. 19.39 per litre and petrol prices by Rs. 6.51 per litre, adding further pressure on inflation and transportation costs across the country.
