Govt Announces Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays

According to a declaration made public by the Ministry of Interior, the federal government has proclaimed a five-day holiday for Eid ul-Fitr. From Friday, April 21 through Tuesday, April 25, there will be no work.

Following approval of the Cabinet Division’s recommendation, the announcement is made. In this context, a formal announcement will also be released by the interior ministry.

Eid-ul-Fitr had a slim likelihood of falling on April 21 according to a prediction made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC) in April. This was because the new crescent was born on April 20 at 9:13 AM, giving it less than 10 hours of age.

Eid-ul-Fitr might be observed on April 22 following the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan’s 30 days of fasting, according to Mufti Khalid Ijaz. The Shawwal moon would probably not be seen on April 21 at night, he continued.

There won’t be any new currency notes for Eid.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) already declared on Thursday that it will not issue new notes for Eid-ul-Fitr through banks or its SMS service.

The regulation regulating the issuance of new notes was altered as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, which had a significant impact on the nation in 2020.

After the outbreak, the SBP stopped giving out new notes, which were previously given to people via SMS or banks.
