The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages in multiple areas on Saturday due to routine maintenance and ongoing development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity will remain suspended in parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and the GSO Circle during different time periods.
Islamabad Circle
From 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., power supply will remain suspended in the Tramri, Lehtrar, and ISI feeders.
A separate outage from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. will affect the following feeders:
- Faisal Masjid
- Ayub Market
- HC I
- HC II
- G-9/4
- SUPARCO
- T&T
- PTCL
- G-8/1
- G-8
- G-8 Markaz
- Marvi
Rawalpindi Cantt Circle
The Ghazan Khan feeder will remain without electricity from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Attock Circle
Power outages are scheduled as follows:
- Bahtar More and Kohistan Enclave feeders: 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Fawara Chowk feeder: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Chakwal Circle
Electricity will remain suspended from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the following feeders:
- Khanpur
- Jhand Khan Zada
- Abdullah Pur
- Jalalpur
- Sagharpur
- CWO
Jhelum Circle
Power supply will remain suspended from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in:
- City Housing
- Sanghoi
- Safdar Shaheed
- Nathwala
- Langarpur feeders
GSO Circle
Maintenance work on transmission lines will also result in scheduled outages.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., power supply will remain suspended on the following 132kV transmission lines:
- AWC HMC Taxila
- Sangjani Burhan
Additional outages from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. will affect:
- 132kV Chakwal Bhagwal Talagang
- 132kV Kahuta City Palandri
- 132kV New Wah Bahtermore
The shutdown will also impact connected equipment, earth switches, and nearby areas.
IESCO apologized for the temporary inconvenience and said electricity supply would be restored as soon as maintenance work is completed, which may be earlier than the announced schedule.
