The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a show-cause notice to Ittefaq Residensia, a private housing scheme located in Islamabad’s Zone-IV, over alleged illegal development activities carried out without approval of its layout plan and mandatory No Objection Certificate (NOC).
According to the authority, the housing project was found involved in unauthorized development and the marketing of plots without regulatory clearance. CDA has directed the scheme to immediately halt all development and commercial activities on the site.
The notice also instructs the removal of all illegal structures within seven days, warning that failure to comply may result in strict enforcement action, including demolition and sealing of offices.
Officials further stated that the housing scheme has been given a seven-day period to submit its response and appear for a hearing before the authority.
CDA reiterated that no housing project in Islamabad is permitted to operate without prior approval of its layout plan and relevant permissions, adding that court rulings also support strict action against illegal and unauthorized developments in the capital.
