Iran to Ink Free Trade Agreement with Pakistan: Envoy
Peshawar: According to Hamid Reza Ghomi, the Iranian Consul General in Peshawar, attempts have been made to conclude a free trade deal between Iran and Pakistan.

He said Iran wished to increase bilateral trade and commercial links with Pakistan in order to develop the regional economy while speaking to businesspeople at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the Iranian ambassador, despite the Covid-19 outbreak, the Iranian consulate helped the Pakistani merchants and quickly gave visas to them.
He praised the ambassador for Pakistan’s efforts in Iran, noting that he was instrumental in boosting trade between the two nations.

Sherbaz Bilour asked Iranian investors to invest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a variety of industries, including jewels, furniture, matchmaking, marble, mining, honey, and other products.
He urged Iran and Islamabad to make genuine efforts to overcome obstacles to bilateral trade.
He advised Iran to benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor initiatives. He asserted that the involvement of young people might be crucial in fostering the bonds between the two Islamic nations.
