Irrigation Department Shares Construction Updates on Daducha Dam
Rawalpindi: According to a news source, representatives from the irrigation department recently briefed Rawalpindi Commissioner Captain (retired) Mohammad Mehmood on the state of Daducha Dam’s construction.
After the relevant officials resolved the problems that were previously perceived to be impeding the land acquisition process, they claimed that the dam had completed 12% of its overall construction. They informed the commissioner that the delay was a result of several land providers’ absence since they were travelling.

The commissioner for Rawalpindi responded by stressing the significance of the dam and claiming that it will restore the city’s declining water levels. Nearly 100 heavy machines were stationed at the project site, he continued.
He said that the concerned land owners have been requested to explain any delays in receiving their payments from the relevant revenue agencies in Rawalpindi and Chakwal.
